Outreach Endowmen

About us:
The McFarland Area Outreach Endowment is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2011 and governed by an elected board of officers. The endowment serves older adults (age 60 and over) in the communities of McFarland, Cambridge, Rockdale, Christiana, Dunn and Pleasant Springs.
Endowment Grants
The challenges facing older adults today are becoming increasingly more complex as demographics demonstrate a steady increase in adults over age 60. Funding and resources continue to be stretched, leaving legitimate financial assistance needs unmet for many seniors. The primary focus of the Endowment is to provide modest grants to support older adults who meet the qualifying guidelines. These grants enable older adults to remain in the home, maintain independence and provide a safe and healthy environment.
Funding and grants typically address the following needs and services:
- Home safety and adaptive equipment
- Continuation of utilities
- House maintenance services
- Prescription medications
- Unmet medical needs
- Lifeline or other monitoring services
Educational and Service Materials
Grants also allow the McFarland Senior Outreach Department to offer group education opportunities covering topics that focus on health and lifestyle challenges affecting older adults. A recent example was paying for workbooks for an evidenced based program on chronic health management.
Capital Project Fund
This fund is for future expenses by the senior outreach department including specialized equipment or development of a senior space.
